Another look at an ancient land is the 2nd part of selected passages and quotations from forty five books and diaries about Iran and Iranians by foreign diplomats,historians ,travelers and physicians since the time of Herodotus to the 20th century.
The passages and quotations presented in this book are mainly confined to these authors' negative judgements of typical Iranian ,at times by arrogant and snobs! Such judgements mirror not only the Iranians from outside perspectives but also characteristics of the external world. This book shows clearly how an author's perspective depends on certain interest which his identification is strongly associated .
Aren't these people spies or smugglers of archeological pieces,one may ask, who happen to write journals and publish them just to belittle the graceful guests,as we witness these behaviors in present time?!
